Organ Donation
The Gift of Life.
Myths & Excuses for not being an Organ Donor... is it worth a life?
I've heard that doctors won't try to save your life if they know that you're a donor.
The doctors’ priority is always to save the patient. Donation only occurs after the death of a patient is declared by physicians who have nothing to do with transplantation.
I don't think it's allowed in my religion.
All major religions support organ donation, including Islam, Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Judaism.

It's a really long process to register to be a donor, and I don't have the time for that.
Registering is an easy process, which can be done within 5 minutes. These 5 minutes of your time could save over 5 lives in the future! To know more about it, visit "How to Register"
I'm not the healthiest person to donate organs. My organs probably won't be of any use.
Very few medical conditions automatically disqualify you from donating organs. Don't disqualify yourself prematurely.
I'm too young to make this kind of a decision.
That's true, in a legal sense. But god forbid, if you were to die tomorrow, your parents can make this decision on your behalf. You should express your desire to your parents so that they can give their consent knowing that it's what you wanted.
I'm not sure if the funeral process would be normal after donation. Wouldn't the donor's body get disfigured?
The donor's body is never disfigured. Donation does not interfere with funeral process. Open casket services are still possible.
